Foot Reflexology and Full-body Massage
Foot Reflexology:
What is it? ~ With its roots in China, Japan, Egypt and India, reflexology is the art of massaging, squeezing, pressing, and holding parts of the feet that correspond to every body system, organ, and gland, down to the cellular level, in the body. Through this intentional stimulation, the body is able through deep relaxation to biologically correct, strengthen, and reach balance or homeostasis.
Feet take a real beating. Walking or standing on concrete, wearing inappropriate shoes, carrying more body weight than is recommended, exercising too much or too little all takes its toll on our feet. They are the farthest body part from the heart, where circulation may stagnate, so it's important to stimulate blood flow. Gravity also pulls inorganic waste downward and can build up in the bottom of the feet, creating deposits which limit flexibility and movement. Any health imbalance or injury can also contribute to the buildup of waste.
Relaxation ~ Stress happens and our bodies hold onto it. This massage is designed to relieve stress by getting the person out of thinking mode. A deeply relaxing massage is like being wrapped in a caring cocoon and is a fantastic "stress-buster."
Restorative ~ If you are experiencing health challenges generally or feet problems specifically, your feet are my window into the functioning of your body's systems. For best results, interactive treatments are recommended on a regular basis, often weekly, combined with journaling and specialized exercises between appointments. Forty-five minute, restorative (returning to health) treatments are unique to each person. A selection of organic lotions and natural cleansers is offered.
Full-body Massage:
Relaxation Massage ~ Stress happens and our bodies hold onto it. This massage is designed to relieve stress by getting the person out of thinking mode. A deeply relaxing massage is like being wrapped in a caring cocoon and is a fantastic "stress-buster." 60 or 80 minutes.
A 30-minute session is also available, which includes back and hands, feet, or scalp.
Body Memory Releasing®:
In this interactive bodywork session, the body is viewed as a messenger. Whether the body is experienceing diabetes, anxiety attacks, cancer, AIDS, pain, or any other imbalance, it is the body's way of saying something is out of balance in the person's life. It is an opportunity to change, to release, and to heal. When in deep relaxation, the main chakras and energy field are balanced to aid releasing. Releasing can be visual, emotional, memories resurfacing, or "ah-ha's," always unique to the individual.
